It's all about people
A dash of humour, a good measure of emotion and a lot of nerve have helped him to conquer the Luxembourg market several times over. His success owes a lot to his communication skills, but goes far beyond that.
Open for business
Jean-Claude Bintz is very open and approachable, but he is, above all, a manager. He started his career with Interfiduciaire, before joining a Norwegian bank and then entering the world of communication with IPL, the advertising arm of RTL. He then spent 15 years with the Swedish group Kinnevik (Tele2, Millicom, etc.) - as the founder and CEO of Tango and as a director of Banque Invik - before setting up another mobile operator: VOXmobile. A true driving force in the Luxembourg mobile telephony market, he follows his intuition and takes risks, while never losing sight of the bottom line: efficiency is key. His “3D” rule guides the work of his teams: Discuss, Decide, Do.
After the sale of his shares in VOXmobile, Jean-Claude Bintz decided to become independant and to set up his own organization LAKEHOUSE S.A.
Lakehouse is mainly an investment company which has acquired among others, the communication agency MOSKITO, of which Jean-Caude Bintz is the Executive Chairman. Besides this, Lakehouse acts as a consulting structure, advising in matters of communication and marketing. In March 2014 Jean-Claude joined MULLER & ASSOCIÉS S.A. as a director. M&A is company specialized in management and business consulting.
In January 2014 Jean-Claude was appointed to the Board of MAISON MODERNE the largest independent media firm in Luxembourg. Today he ist the Vice Chairman.
On a blues note
This accomplished blues player performs with his group, named ‘Crossroads’ in tribute to his idol Eric Clapton. Watching him improvise a tune, you can guess the secret to his success. In both blues and business, Jean-Claude uses complete technical mastery to convey a simple and startling message. He sells consulting services, but he could just as easily sell guitars, as for him: “The main thing is that I believe in the product”.
